About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does transit apply?

We are planning on travelling from Düsseldorf to Beijing (1 sept arrival time 5:05) onwards traveling from Beijing to Singapore (4 sept 0:10). We are Dutch so considering the information above I believe we are eligible for the 72 hours transit, is this correct please let me know! Thank you in advance.
