Double transit in china. Do we need a China visa? Thank you.

i'm vietnamese and my husband is American. We will flight from US -> Quingdao -> Kunming -> Vietnam. we have to stay at Quingdao for 1 and half hour and 16 hours at Kunming. because from quingdao to Kunming is domestic.

You need a visa for the transit, but your husband can enjoy 24 hour direct transit, and no need to apply for visa.

Yim, both of you can use Chinese 24 hr direct transit in China, and no visa is needed.
