Can we use Visa-free transfer if we fly to Beijing from Hong Kong & after 2 days join cruise ship at Tianjin for cruise to South Korea.Sandra

Thank you for info Nick, tried to have Cathay Pacific, travel agent & consular assistance  confirm details of 144hr Visa-free transit, just to make sure they would issue boarding passes without visa but absolutely no knowledge out there except response that we should pay for a visa.  Any suggestions?

Just tell the airline you want to enjoy the policy when boarding, and they will give you an arrival card. Upon arrival, take the card to apply for the 144h visa free transit.
