About:China Visa Exemption

I hold a UK passport and will be traveling to Hong Kong in September 18 we are hopeing to go to Chii

My husband and I hold UK passport, will be traveling to Hong Kong in September 18, and we are hopeing to go over to China just for the day
1. will we need an entry permit
2. if so how much will a visa cost for 24 hours
3. will we need to apply for the visa while still in the UK or should be wait until we arrive in Hong Kong?

You will need a visa. A Chinese tourist L currently costs GBP151 and you should apply in the UK. An alternative is the Shenzhen VOA which permits travel only in Shenzhen.
