Question

I was recently married with Chinese girl . And Xingjiang government issued marriage certificate.Then I went to immigration office in yining for applying Q1  .Then immigration officer told me that your present one is L .You have to go back to Hongkong and apply for Q1 then I will give you dependent visa for 6 months . Can I go to Hongkong and apply for q1? Because iam from India.please kindly answer my question?

Hi, you can try to go to HK to apply for Chinese Q1 type from the office of the commissioner of the ministry of foreign affairs of PRC in HK SAR. If it can be done, you don't need to go back to your home country for that. Good luck.
