About:Visa Policy of China

VISA - Proof of residential stay if apply in a country different as citizenship

I am now with a Thailand with Tourist entry permit and I will not come back to my citizenship country (France) before going to China. A tourist Thai entry permit, is it acceptable in this case as proof of residential stay?

Has to be a long-term visa and tourist visas will not do.
