About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Would transit visa work for London-Beijing(72hrs)-HongKong(48hrs)-Shanghai(72hrs)-London?

With separate tickets 1) UK-China return and 2)PEK-HKG-PVD.
Travelling with a UK passport.

You are only eligible if your return flight does not stop in Beijing (or another city in Mainland China).
