About:Shanghai - Hangzhou High Speed Train

Passport/visa check at train/bus stations

Do they check passports/visas when selling tickets/boarding trains in China? I would like to use 144 hour visa free transit and want to travel from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Is that possible?
Thanks!

You need the passport to buy a ticket and take the ride/bus etc. Visa is not needed. As i know, a 144 hours visa free stay allows you to travel to Hangzhou
