About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I enter Shanghai twice in 14 days visa free?

I plan to enter shanghai on 5/23, so some local shopping and depart to Japan and Korea on 5/24. I plan to return to Shanghai from Korea on June 4 and depart June 5. Both stays in Shanghai are a little over 36 hours. Are both entries visa free?

Kelvin, if you will travel like USA-Shanghai-Japan-Korea-Shanghai-another country or region instead of Korea, you can enjoy the 144 hr free transit in Shanghai twice. No visa is required then.
