Am I elegible for the 72 hours visa?

Hello,

My husband and I are traveling to Thailand through Beijing and in our way back we are staying 2 days in Beijing as per itinerary below:

TRIP SUMMARY
Departure Calgary, AB, Canada (YYC) AC 215 12:20pm, Sat, Mar 31 to Vancouver
Departure Vancouver, BC (YVR) CA 992 13:50, Sat Mar 31 to Beijing - Arrival in Beijing 15:30 April 1st
Departure Beijing (PEK) to Bangkok (BKK) April 1 CA979 (Air China) 19:35

Depart Bangkok (BKK) to Beijing (PEK) April 13 CA 960 (Air China) 19:35
Arrive Beijing 1:25AM April 14
Departs Beijing to Vancouver CA 991 April 16 15:25
Departs Vancouver to Calgary WS 124 13:00 April 16

Can you please confirm if we need an entry permit or we can get the 72 hours free transit? Thanks,

We are both Canadian Citizens.
Can you please assist if we need to get an entry permit or we qualify for the 72 hours transit ?

Hi, you are eligible for the free transit policy in Beijing in both ways. No visa is required for the trip.
