About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I plan to fly from Tokyo to Shanghai on the 27th of May

and leave to fly home to Glasgow on Saturday 2nd June. Whilst in China I plan to visit my sister in Nantong - does the 144hr exemption allow me to do this?
