About:Chinese Embassy in Cambodia

Hi, I am Cambodian working in Laos, I will be going to Guangzhou for a conference,

and I am thinking about visiting Hong Kong afterwards. So If I apply for Chinese visa, can I apply for Hong Kong visa at the same time too, or do I have to go to different department to apply for it. And what are the documents that will be needed for the visa to Hong Kong?

No, you can just submit two separate applications to the embassy of China to apply for mainland China visa and HK visa respectively.
If you go to HK for tourism purpose, you need to provide copy of passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, proof of financial support, transportation and accommodation arrangement and travel itinerary.
