Paying a visit to Chengdu.

Hello,
I'm thinking of traveling to this city in last week of April. I have a couple of questions below.
1/. How practical weather is it in this time of the year? (I have a 3-y-o daughter).
2/. Is it fine (to stay + sightseeing) for tourists who know none of Chinese language?
3/ Do you think it's a good idea to stay here for our whole trip and go visit Shanghai for a short time?

Any advice/ tips/ experience sharing would be high appreciated!

As I know, the temperature is around 15-25C and there may be some rainy/ cloudy days. So you need to take thin jackets, jeans and shirts.
It’s okay to travel there without local language, since there are many international visitors in the city. Or you can join a tour, which is, of course, more convenient.
As for Q3, I think you’d better to pay a visit to another city, and Shanghai is great, you can go to the Disneyland.
