About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Which country counts when you have a 1stop flight

If I get a 1 stop flight to Beijing from London where I change in Zurich does Switzerland count as the country I entered from so I can fly directly back to London without a stop from Beijing.

If so, Switzerland will be counted as the first country. If you fly to London directly after stopping in Beijing, you will be able to use the 144 hour visa-free transit.
