About:China Visa

I am a US citizen contemplating moving to China to serve as a consultant in the healthcare industry.

I do not have any specific clients but would be trying to develop them over time. Additionally, i would not have a residence immediately but would seek to live/work out of an extended stay/serviced apartment type of setting. Several questions:

1) Is the above permitted?
2) Aside from a multi-entry VISA what specific type should i apply for?

Actually, what you plan to do is like starting a business in China. based on what I know, you need to apply for a work Z type for that. You are advised to contact with the embassy to confirm that.
