About:Dress Code in China

Dressing for summer

Hello can i ask you something about clothing? I come from a country that gets very hot in the summer, Greece and we are aslo quite conservative in our clothing even though it gets hot. However because we are much closer to western influences we have adopted short shorts and bikinis for summer. I will be in China Spring to summer and i have all my clothes from my country either shorts or long one piece trousers but with tank tops...My swimwear is bikini but it's very covering for the most part. I will spend most , if not all, my time in Beijing. Would it be ok to wear these things in the summer? thank you very much!!!!!

Generally speaking, it will be ok for you to wear shorts or long one piece trousers with tank tops in summer. If you go to swim, bikinis will be ok. But if you wanna visit several scenic areas in Beijing, such as museums, library or join in other formal occasions, you are not advised to wear revealing clothes. :)

Yes that seems legit. Especially in temples here you are given long clothing whether you are male or female. I will keep it in mind thank you very very much !!!!!!!
