About:China Student Visa

Im on a dependant visa in shanghai already, how easy is it to change to a student X type?

As far as I know, you should first prepare passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, the admission letter and JW form from the school. And then submit the application to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB.
