Apply China L type multiple entry

Hopefully you can help me in my following question.

At the moment I am in China as a tourist (L-type double entry valid 3 months) on my Dutch passport. (I have my house in The Netherlands).
I also possess an Australian passport. The reason why I am in China is because of my boyfriend’s business. Because I have to live here for a long period of time, at least a year, it’s a great hassle to leave the country every single time and apply for a new visa abroad. I already noticed they are not very cooperative in The Netherlands. Therefore I would like to apply for a multiple entry tourist L type in my Australian passport, valid for 1 year. Do you reckon this is achievable and how do I obtain this? Or do you have another good recommendation on how to be able to stay longer in China?

Charlotte, if you want to stay longer, you can work or study in China. In this case, you will be able to get the residence permit which will allow you to exit and enter for multiple times within its validity.
If you don’t want to work or study, you can apply for multiple-entry tourist L type with your Australian passport, but you cannot get it within China. You are advised to try in Australia.

Dear Tina,

Thank you for your response! At the moment I do not have a job nor a study.
Do you happen to what kind of Letter of Invitation is requested in this case?
