About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We have 3 days stop over in Guangzho from May 5-8 2018.

The airline has changed our departure to May 9,2018. Will I be covered by the 72hrs free visa? Pls advice ASAP because I have to change my flight and hotel accommodation if this is not possible. Arrival May 5 2018 @0650AM departure May 9,2018 0920PM. CZ Airline has no flight on May 8 2018 as previously booked.

Aurora, no, you trip cannot be covered by the 72 hour free transit anymore if you leave on May 9. You need to apply for a transit visa in advance.

Thanks for your prompt response. I already have complied with the airline changes which is regrettable as the changes would allow me only 2 days in Guangzhou instead of the original 3. I also had to cancel my hotel reservation of 3 days down to 2 days. It is suppose to be my first visit to Guangzhou which I have been looking forward to.
