About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

EXTRA STOP

Plan on flying into Shanghai and staying for approximately 3 days. Then plan on taking a short trip to Tokyo before returning to Shanghai for a few more days. Does the 144 hour restart upon arrival the second time?

It restarts every time you re-enter the country.
