About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144-visa exemption

I will be on a cruise ship from Singapore with a stop into Japan. After that, I will disembark in Shanghai and stay just in that area for 3 nights. I will then fly to Los Angeles. How do I get the 144- hr exemption as I will not be landing in a China airport?

Debbie, you should apply for the 144 hour free transit at Shanghai cruise terminal.

Thank you for the information. I feel a little uneasy about not having a China visa for my trip, but it seems like I do qualify for the 144-hr exemption. Hope I won't have any difficulties with it.
