About:China Visa Exemption

I will be flying into Hong Kong from London and wish to fly from Hong Kong To Beijing for 3 days.

Then fly from Beijing back to Hong Kong. And then fly to Australia. Will a 72 hour transit visa be acceptable for this purpose.

That's obviously not transit, so no.
