About:China Transit Visa

We have an 8 hour layover in shanghai on our way home to Canada,

and want to leave the airport to explore. I believe we are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit. I am Wondering if there is a cost to enter shanghai, and how long it will take to go through the application process at the airport. Thanks!

Alex, if you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit, there will be no cost for entering Shanghai. The application process can be finished within 10 minutes if there is no long queue.
