Flying into Beijing and then flying to Chongqing

For these 144 hour free exceptions, are you allowed to travel within the country during that brief stay?

I wanted to spend two days in Beijing and two days in Chongqing before I fly to Tokyo. Am I able to use the 144 hour free transit and still book a domestic flight from Beijing to Chongqing while staying within the Visa rules?
