About:China Visa Application in USA

I’m on holiday staying with my friend who lives in Hong Kong in April 2018 for 10 days from UK.

I’ve been told by her to get a Chinese visa in case we go to China for 3 days.

I’ve been told by one company that it will cost £189 even if it’s for 1 day. My Chinese friends sister said it shouldn’t cost that much.

Not sure where to go for it and I can’t justify paying out £189.

Rose, you can apply for a 2-year multiple-entry tourist L type which costs 151 pounds.

I don't expect to be travelling after this visit to China. Is there not a shorter visa then 2 years?

Yes, you can apply for a 3-month single-entry tourist L type, but it costs the same as the 2-year one.

Thanks, but I wont be paying that. I'll wait until I am in HK. By all accounts I've been told that in Kowloon I could get a quick visa for a short stay.
