About:China Visa

Hi guys, I successfully applied for the Q1 VISA in the UK and arrived in Shanghai.

I've been preparing to apply for the residence permit but just found out that my wife Shanghai insurance card has expired... and it take 6 months to receive a new card. We have a property here and she working, but just wondering would that effect the application? I was told going to her hometown would be the best bet, but her hometown is way out in the villages. Any information would be great

Colin, as far as I know, copy of your wife’s ID card is fine with the application. You are advised to apply for it at the police station in her hometown.
