singledouble entry fee for badaling great wall

Question

We like to take the North Cable Car up to tower 8 and then (roundtrip) return by Cable Car to take the South Cable Car up to tower 4 and then walk up to tower 7 and then (roundtrip) return from tower 4 by Cable Car as well.Do we have to pay 2 times the entry fee in that case? And how long does it take to walk from tower 4 to 7 and then back (give or take).

No, you don't need to purchase the Double Entry Fee. Generally speaking, it takes around 4-5 hours to walk from Tower 4 to 7 and then back.

If you keep your ticket stub you can re-enter. It has a date/time stamp on it so they check you have paid for that day. At least that worked for me today when I went out and back in at the ticket check at the base station. It took me 3+ hours to walk the southern section (1-7) and back and then go up to the north cable car station (1-6+) and back (at a leisurely pace with a few short breaks).
