Hi, I obtained my masters degree in china on a X visa (study ),

after graduation i got a job and my employeer applied for a work permit and i got issued the notification. can i change from X to Z type without leaving china or directly obtain a work residence permit without leaving china because i currently have 6 months left on my study residence permit.
