About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

my cruise starts in singapore and ends in hong kong

and i want to go to great wall/bejing for couple days then back to my home in usa. Can i use a 72hour free transit. How do I produce a visa for hong kong as I don't think I would have one??

USA citizens can enjoy free entry to HK, so you don’t need to apply for an entry permit.
If you travel like HK-Beijing-USA, you can use the 144 hour free transit in Beijing.
