144 visa free transit requirements

I’m flying from Toronto to shanghai, getting on a ship the next morning for 4 days that returns to shanghai, and then flying to Vietnam that day. Do I qualify for the 144 hour visa free transit??

Well, if you are taking an international cruise or travel in Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu, you can enjoy the policy;
If you are going to other Chinese area by ship, you need to apply for a visa.
