About:China Visa

need a physical exam before entry?

ok. I have a valid passport im a US citizen will be going to china soon with my gf to visit her parents I can get a visa easily before we fly to china Do I need to get a physical exam before I fly there or is one required or its mandatory they do the exam after I arrive but before im allowed to travel in china? Also my gf and I are planning to marry in china maybe while I visit her parents this first visit to china So what documents and info do I need to take with me before I fly there?

Robert, no, the physical examination is not needed if you enter on a tourist L type.
If you want to marry three, you need to provide single status certificate and physical examination may also be needed then.

ok, what is a single status certificate and where or when do I get one? Yes, I heard about this as proof im single Also before I marry I need to get a physical right? So how intensive is this physical I need/get before I marry? Years ago I was in a accident and physicaly I have some limitations a disability I mean yes I can walk do most things but in a limited way, so will this fail my physical? No I don't need a cane or wheelchair no medications no diseases that caused my disability A truck accident caused my disability So will this give me problems of being allowed to marry in china?

Single status certificate is used to prove that you are unmarried. Usually, you can get it from the police station in your country and you should get it attested by the embassy of China.
I don’t think you need to worry too much about your physical condition. It’s kind of like a premarital examination. Just relax.

ok thanks for the info Why I asked about the exam was that I understand that a person in china with a disability isn't looked on as as highly as a person without a disability and was wondering they might see me as having a genetic or disease is the cause of my disability and use this as a excuse to not accept my visa and not allow me in china The thing is my Chinese gf will be visiting me here in the US and will take me to china after her visa is expired for their new year in feb so she will be with me helping me when she can

@Sherlock, how should I know what a premarital exam is like? I never have been married before Other than this I know they are needing blood work or type they want to know about, what else do they want to know or will do in a physical exam before a person marries in china? BTW what is your take about my gf and I getting a pre nup before we marry? Here in the US its a common thing to do before marrying

Premarital exam is just like the normal physical examination. Just to ensure that both of you are healthy. To be honest, I just said that the physical examination report may be needed. It is not absolute. You will know it when you register your marriage.
