From Thailand to Beijing to USA

Hello!

I will be flying from Thailand to PEKwith one ticket, then back home to USA on a separate ticket. Do I qualify for the 72 hours visa-free stop?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, you are qualified for the 72h visa-free transit. Separate tickets also will do as long as your seat has been confirmed.

Ok, I was confused about if you had to be flying from one of the qualified countries or just hold a passport from one of them. Thank you so much for your reply!
Best,
