Passport requirements

I plan to arrive in China as a tourist on February 24, 2018 and leave March 3, 2018. My passport expires on August 30, 2018 so I will have the required 6 month left on my passport when I arrive but it will be less than 6months left on my passport when I leave.
Will I be able to get the required visa or will I have to renew my passport first?
