canadian tourists need chinese visitors visa

Hello, we are a family on a road trip who will be in japon in three days. We hold Canadian visa but have parents living in China. Could we apply for the visa in Japon so we can visit our family for the Chinese new year? Thank you

If possible, you are advised to make the application in Canada before your trip because as far as I know, temporary visitors in Japan are not easy to get Chinese visa from there.
