Multiple entries 24hr transit visa?

Hey!

I booked a flight from Amsterdam to Sydney via China. My route: Amsterdam- Warsaw - Beijing - Guangzhou - Sydney.
In Warsaw they didnt let me on the plain because they said I needed a Chinese visa due to passing by 2 Chinese airports.. Do you have any idea if this is right?

How many hours was it from scheduled arrival in Beijing to scheduled departure from Guangzhou? If it was longer than 24 hours then you were correctly denied boarding. If not, then you may have a case against the airline.
