About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hello, my girlfriend is a Canadian citizen traveling back to Vancouver from Manila.

She will be transiting through 2 cities (Shanghai and Kunming from January 9-11), will she need a Visa if she travels from MNL to PVG on Jan. 9, then from SHA to KMG on Jan 10, then from KMG to YVR on Jan. 11?

No a transit visa doesn´t work as it´s just valid for 24h.
She has to apply for a chinese tourist L type in advance.

Yes, she will need a visa, because that's more than 24 hours in China.
