About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Milan-Shanghai-Amsterdam is eligible for 144-hour Visa-exemption Transit Policy?

Good morning,
I'm planning to fly from Milan to Shanghai on January the 7th and the fly from Shanghai to Amsterdam on Friday 12th January. I would like to receive from your office the confirmation that:
- I'm eligible for 144-hour exemption Transit Policy. I checked the website of Italian Ministry of Foreigner Affairs and apparently if you fly from Europe to Cina and back to Europe it's NOT considered as transit and therefore I would not be eligible.
- I only need to inform the airline/carrier that I want to apply for the 144-Hour Free Transit when onboard, fill in the dedicated form and once arrived in Shanghai show at customs my passport, the application form filled in and my booking details of the outbound flight to Amsterdam
- It does not matter the reason for the transit (tourist or business)
- I can book the flights with different airlines
- The 144 hours are counted from 00:00 following day of arrival to departure time
Thanks in advance

Silvia, as far as I know, your travel route is eligible for the 144 hour free transit because it is country A-Shanghai –country B.
