I recommend you go to Beijing to visit the Great Wall. Fly there from Kunming first. Then take a taxi or hire a private car to Badaling for a visit. To go by public transportation, you can take Airport Express Train to Dongzhimen, then transfer to subway line 2 to Deshengmen. There the bus no. 877 is available to lead you to Badaling Wall directly.
