About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi, I'm flying on the 27th of Dec 2017 from Amsterdam to Chengdu to Ghuangzhou to Brisbane.

Do I need a visa for my connecting flight in China?
I arrive at Chengdu at 1.45pm and leave in Ghangzhou at 21.30pm the same day.

Yes, you need a visa for that route. Transit including multiple stops within China is permitted at Guangzhou (CAN) only when the first transit point is Beijing (PEK). The total maximum transit time is 24 hours. You should try to change your flight to either AMS-CAN-BNE or AMS-PEK-CAN-BNE.

Thank you very much for your reply Rob.
This might be a stupid question but where can I apply for this visa? I've only got 3 days left .. not sure if applying for a visa is still an option ..

If you can't get a visa, call your airline and change your flights to either AMS-CAN-BNE or AMS-PEK-CAN-BNE. Both of these routes are eligible for free transit in China and then you don't need a visa.
