About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am traveling to an Asian Country, currently I hold Canadian Permanent Residency Card

and a Canadian Travel Document and have the below flight details:
Montreal-Toronto-Guangzhou-Colombo
Colombo-Guangzhou-Vancouver-Montreal

I emailed and spoke with China Southern Airline they said to contact the Peoples Republic of China in my region, I emailed them and explained all the documents and my flight itinerary, ( the Counselor Section) they replied me back that ( I do not need a transit G type, if my layovers are less than 24 hours and I am not leaving the airport).

Now that i would like to book that tickets, that mentioned Airline is asking if i have transit G type, when I even applied at the embassy they returned my application mentioning I do not need a transit G type.

So now im very confused should I book the ticket or not?

Please Please I really need another expert advice please.

You do not need a visa, however you also won't be able to leave the airport during your layover.

yes, I again spoke with the airline, I do not need a transit visa, I have to stay inside the airport transit area, that's all. my layovers are less than 10 hours.

I will read my book, no worries :)
