About:Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park

Accomodations at Danxia

If I arrive in Zhangye at about 4 pm by train, will I be able to go to the Danxia Park and stay nearby to go early the next morning? Someone mentioned yurts?

How long do you recommend to tour the Geological Park?

Yes, and you are suggested to take a taxi or local car there. It charges CNY150 for a single trip and you can share the fare with other visitors. Oh, it takes about 1h.

As for hostels, yurts are not recommended, since it’s very cold now. Many hotels are near the East Entrance of the park, like Sunan Danxia Qicai Inn, Hualong Wanjia Inn and Dankun Express Hotel.

It takes about half a day to enjoy the whole park. Have a nice trip!
