Hi,

how are "secured living status" and "place to live" defined? Any guidelines or amounts of money required? Need to own property or is it ok to rent?

Thomas, it means that you have enough money to support your living in China. There is no specific requirement for how much you should have.
Also, you can either own property or rent an apartment to live.
