Question

Are there luggage cars on Z rides? My wife and I are going from Qingdao to Beijing on an overnight Z rides and will have a lot of luggage. We are planning on consigning our luggage, but are worried that it won't go on the same ride as us. We only have a few hours in Beijing, so our luggage cannot be late. Should we go consign our luggage early?

I am not sure if there is a luggage carriage on Z8 from Qingdao to Beijing. If you did only have a few hours only, maybe you need to arrange it one or two days in advance etc. The luggage can be hold at the arrival station. Or maybe you can think about a express company. Personally speaking, if your luggages are not too large in size, maybe you can try to take them with you directly. The rail service are not very strict with the weight. Normally they hardly be weighted unless they looks too large in size. There is luggage rack available and for sleeper cabin, they can be put under the lower beds as well.
