trip from beijing to xian then to chengdu and back to beijing again for 10 days, is it possible? tq.

Yes. It is ok to visit these cities for 10 days. It is recommended that you stay at Beijing for 2-3 days, Xian for 2 days, Chengdu for 2 days. Taking high speed train is a good choice to travel between these places.
