What is the more convenience about Shanghai public transportation?

I will stay at the hotel in People’s Square area and I think to take Maglev then metro line 2. If I bring two large and two small suitcases will be a problem to transfer from in Longyang RD to take metro line 2 (me. my wife, and 2 Children)? What exit number should I take in Longyang RD ? We arrive in PVG around 14.05 hence possible that at the metro line 2 in rush hour. Do you think more convenience to take taxi?
