About:China Train

Ticket without ID

I'm in Guangzhou.
My passport is currently under the visa extension process.but I have to travel anywhere by train, how can i do it? Can I use my photo copy of passport?

It should be possible to buy a ticket by using the copy, but the policy says you need to have your passport in hand when you are traveling. I am not sure if they will check the passport or not. By the way, if your passport is used for visa extension, I think they should offer you some paper document. I heard that document can be used as passport
