About:China Transit Visa

Ethiopian passport transiting through Guangzhou

My daughter is travelling on an Ethiopian passport on Wednesday and I need to urgently find out if she needs a visa. We will be flying from Taiwan, transiting through Guangzhou for 5 hours before our onward journey to Australia. It is the same booking with China Southern from Taipei through to Australia and we don’t need to recheck our bags or clear Immigration in Guangzhou. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you don't clear Immigration in Guangzhou, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou if you travel like that. No visa is needed. Nice trip!
