You can apply at the the Embassy or consulates of China in the states. You need to fill in the application form online, prepare the requirements and then submit the application to the Embassy or consulates.
Requirements for you:
Passport with at least 6-month validity
Visa Application Form and Photo
Proof of legal stay or residence status in US
Documents on the commercial activity issued by a trade partner in China, or trade fair invitation or other invitation letters issued by relevant entity or individual.0
