Visa on arrival for the US passport holder.

I am invited to come to Beijing to sign a revised licensing contract for our books licensed by a Chinese company in Beijing. I am currently in Seoul and do not have time to get a Chinese entry permit, could I get VOA under number 2 listed above. If so, what do I need from the company in Beijing? An official letter of invitation?
