About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

73 hrs transit in Beijing possible?

Hi all,

I will be flying DXB-PEK at 2:00 pm on December 9th and PEK-SIN at 3:00 pm on December 12th. In total, that is transit of 73 hours, if arrival time and departure time of the flights are the deciding points.

Depending on whether the 72 hours start the arrival time or from 00:00 the day following the entry date, I could make use of the transit without visa rule.

Has anyone had a similar situation in BEIJING?

Thank you!

Hi, based on what I know, Beijing measures the 72 hours from scheduled arrival time to scheduled departure time. So you won't qualify for the free transit program. You should apply for a visa beforehand.
